I don't think there's any decent compatiblity lists anymore they're either for the now obsolete HDLoader only, or just plain out of date. There seems to be no open source TCP/IP stack for the PS2, so none of the homebrew is smart enough to connect to the internet to get stuff like artwork automatically. If you are using the internal hard drive you need to make a PARTITION first called 'OPL' on the drive (you have to use ulaunchelf to do this), then stick the art folder and images in there. Basically you need to make jpg or png images (or just download them from that site), and stick them in a directory called 'ART' in the root of your games device (whether usb or network share, etc). It's mostly newer games that don't work at all, mainly as they were designed that way, and look for HDLoader type software when run. At this point I'd say about 98% of all PS2 games work on OPL, and only a fraction of a percent work in HDLoader only still. Is a complete mess, but has the closest thing to a up to date and usable compatibility list. It's a bit of a pain, because I can only have CodeBreaker 'mapped' to either HDL or OPL, and essentially have to use ULE to 'flip' the two, but it works! The hard part's done, though! Edit - And I think I figured out the cheats issue. Haven't really figured out the cover art yet, but I'm less concerned about that.

If I can figure out how to get OPL to play nice with my CodeBreaker ELF, I'll have a real alternate to HDL set up parallel to it (HDL). Seems to run Ratchet & Clank from HDD, something HDL never managed. Just compiled build 438, which is indeed a huge step up from the v.07 version hosted by SKSApps. Seems to be just the main build and not any of the forks, but I'm happy with that. Well, I finally sat down and learned how to compile my own OPL builds.

The fix for those with a DMS mod chip and a v10 PS2 is great too. Stuck the hdd back in my PS2, loaded up HD Loader and there before me was a beautiful looking games list. Open PS2 Loader 0.9.3 (2016) - copy SMS Version 2.9 (Rev.4).ELF onto the INSTALL BOOT map (version 2.9 rev 4 is the latest SMS version) you have to change some settings in the FMCB and Open PS2 loader software to let it recognise your external USB harddrive.
